Projection & Connection

I’ve heard many variations of my amazingness or awesomeness or coolness even. Yet, I’m still one of those humans who has trouble believing them. Mostly because they are usually commenting on one aspect of my personality or work. I can count on one hand (a few fingers actually), how many people I feel know me more than most. It’s not that I’m difficult to get to know, at least I don’t think so, but I seem to be so very different from the majority of people. So, as humans do, when people learn some tidbit or hear a story of some part of my life, they tend to project all over me, which rarely holds many grains of truths.

As the title of Joseph Nguyen’s book says, 📖 Don’t Believe Everything You Think.

What is something you used to think that you no longer believe?
